Stronger Communities - Round 5 Grants

Northpine has announced the recipients in the latest round of grants from its Stronger Communities fund, a programme established in 2020 to help the people of Bream Bay.

The beneficiaries from the fifth round of funding are:

·      Liam Thornhill,  a Bream Bay College student and sportsman, to assist his ambition to
      compete in motocross events at regional and national secondary school level

·      Linking Hands (Inc) – a community health shuttle service using volunteer drives to get
      people to and from medical appointments. The grant is for maintenance of the three vehicles
     used in Bream Bay.

·      Northland Masters Golf – to assist expenses for the national Freyberg Tournament
      in November.

·      Takahiwai Netball Club – to subsidise the cost of apparel and trophies in the 2021 season.

Total grants allocated in Round 5 is $5,000. In the past 15 months, Northpine has distributed over $23,000 to local individuals, groups and organisations through the Stronger Communities programme.

Applications are now open until 16 November for the next round of grants (Round 6), to be announced in early December 2021. Details of criteria and Application Forms are available online: at: www.northpine.co.nz/community
